Antoinette (#3283)
Antoinette matriculated at Wonderboom High in Pretoria. She took special art lessons at the Pretoria College of Education between Grades 6 and 12. Her subjects included fine art; drawing and painting, sculpting and pottery. Antoinette studied Art & Design at the Pretoria Technicon Art School and she was nominated Student of the Year in her third and final year. Antoinette worked as a professional Graphic Designer for many years. Painting and drawing is her first love and she decided to devote all her time to her art. She now works full time as an artist in oil, pastels and pencil. Her art covers themes such as wildlife, seascapes, colourful landscapes, nude studies and portraits of people. She has a special interest in portraying subjects taken from the tribes of Africa and she is also successful as a mural painter. Although her preference is realism, she is very versatile and so passionate about painting that at any time a wide range of subjects and styles can be viewed at her studio. Antoinette also does sculpture work and designs jewellery with an African & ethnic flavour. Antoinette has done many commissions and her work can be seen in private collections all over the world.
