Rika de Klerk (#5306)

Rika was born in Johannesburg in 1944. She studied art from the age of 12 with the Belgian artist. Herman Goossens. She matriculated at the Help Mekaar Girls High and won many awards and distinctions during her school career. Rika graduated with a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Witwatersrand in 1965. She has held 7 solo exhibitions and 3 group exhibitions and also completed a course in etching and silkscreen work at Wits Technical College in 1976. Rika has undertaken many commissions and her work are represented in collections in South Africa, Germany, Australia and the United States. Currently her work is sold in many galleries throughout South Africa.
